The Camino de Assisi.
The Way of St Francis.
Italy: From Florence to Assisi, then on to Rome. Trek For A Dream.
Post 8: June 13, 2018, Wednesday.
Florence, Day One.
We all need prayer. We all need to constantly reach out . . . to others. Again and again.
Florence. I made it. Trek For A Dream. I have all the prayer cards, emails, and notes laid out in front of me, about 300. I’m in an old Monastery in Florence. It’s old, and big, quiet and pensive. I arrived here late last night, so I haven’t seen anything except, this old monastery. It’s early.
One dream in particular stood out, from Joshua Michael, that would apply to all of us. Thank you Joshua. You said:
“When you have that moment on your
Journey when you feel God’s Presence
within the wonders before your eyes
that you would say on my behalf . . .
. . . ‘My King. My King. My King.'”
Yes. That moment came just Now! Quite perfect. . . .
And a shout out to our friend Corry who said: “My Dream is to be a chef and stay sober and have a family of my own.” Corry, we are praying for you friend. Be Blessed.
And a shout out to our friend Mona who asked for “Direction on a Book.” Well, Mona, I’m here chatting with, well, you know Him, and He’s saying you should write a book on “Giving and Receiving.” Lately, I’m feeling that we could all use a primer on both, especially on receiving.
Well, I don’t want to take up too much of your time. I have to pack my backpack and walk about an hour to find my starting place, Basilica of Santa Croce, Florence. I have to get the Stamp for my Pilgrims Passport, the Credenziale del Pellegrino.
Please donate a dollar or so to my humble Trek For a Dream, and help all of our prayer friends and fellow Dreamers.
Please “receive” God’s Blessings today, and know He’s looking out for you. Receive.
Amen.
The cell I stayed in. No. 204, with five other pilgrims, that were still asleep at 4:00 a.m. I thought monks got up early.
